I would like to create this suggestion topic concerning the Competitive & Casual servers. Indeed, for a few months now, I've been collecting testimonies from active players concerning the points to change, and the potential new features to add. The points I'll list here often come up, and I entirely support them.
Let's start with the Competitive server:
- Enable the famous FOW (Fog of War) : For the simple reason that it is one of the features that comes closest to competition as the name of the server indicates. New players will get used to playing with the FOW enabled, which will potentially forge a new player community.
- Add a map rotation system with voting (excluding the currently played map so that the same map is not voted on again) : Simply make a competitive and fun map selection so that players don't get tired of playing on de_dust_2 (which is really boring).
- Change of the economy system : Yes, I know that this one has been redesigned and changed. But there are still some problems. A huge disadvantage is visible when the losing team plays the winning team after several rounds. The money gain per defeat is so small that it is difficult to defeat the opposing team during an economic round. The debate is open about changing the system.
Now the Casual server game:
- A map rolling system (again) : Simply add the same functionality as the competitive server, but with different and smaller maps much like the current one. Again, it gets boring to play on the same map all the time.
- AUG and SG nerf (IMPORTANT) : After the AWP and M3 nerf, the AUG and SG has become a server plague. I've never seen so much use of these weapons as I have since the previous AWP & M3 nerf, and it's safe to say it's extremely cheated ! How do you nerf these two weapons? That is still up for debate.
- A nerf (AGAIN) of the Flashbang : Yes... You got it right, the flashbang. At least limit it to ONE per player because when there are many players on the server, and we eat 10 flash grenades in a row, it's not pleasant (especially for the eyes) and it creates a big disadvantage.
This post is bound to be modified, if relevant suggestions come to light. What do you think about these suggestions ?
