Hello, everyone!
I took close attention to the Mobs Arena over the past month, and I've noticed that newbies can't make it, they even die in the first round mostly 'cause of the snarks. They're very difficult to deal with especially when you don't know their exact location and timing, thus dealing -20 damage to you or even more sometimes. They're very quick and attack really fast, and you can only kill them pretty quick if they spawn at the opposite side of your location which is not always the case. There are barely any bandages throughout the rounds, so it is not fair for those at the newbie level.
Taking into consideration the given guns, CTs aren't always kind to you and you must go through 5 rounds with average guns against things that can do extreme damage. You must dodge zombies while you're also fighting with snarks, that's a huge distraction and gives snarks even more stealth, therefore dealing too much damage. There's a big chance a newbie dies as soon as he goes inside, so that must change since there's not really a clear chance for them.

In the following message, the "NPC Arena" will be often attributed as the "arena". This has nothing to do with the "PvP Arena".
I feel like balance is one of the harder things to achieve on the jail server. This is much more apparent when you take non-player on player interactions into consideration. PvE in CS2D is not exactly fun, unless you're using a Medic armour in an open space with proper cover. This does not apply to the arena on the jail server, as it's a small place, lacking cover and proper sustainable and predictable healing. From my point of view, after many iterations of the arena coming around, I've come to the realisation that there is no simple go-to fix for the arena. Therefore, I do think that completely re-working the arena is a worthy investment. Though, it will take time, and I'm not sure if it can be justified.
Considering all that is currently known about CS2D's fate, and the community within it, can I really justify putting that much effort into something that just maybe will make the game 5% more fun? Not really. Furthermore, the changes suggested in this poll, lack creativity and awareness of the basic problems that I brought up above. Even if I do take any of them into consideration, the simple act of integrating them into the server will take far too long. Add to that my inability to side with any of these suggestions and you have a formula for "nothing is planned to change until a better suggestion is made or until I decide to re-work the arena".
But, after all, I no longer realistically play CS2D (and if I do, it's "4Fun" and is too rare to be considered). This means that my opinions might not be completely valid and/or dated. Call me old-fashioned, if you will, but I'll currently stand my ground until a proper idea is formed, or until many people side with one vote, rather than as split as it currently is.
