Ayyy,
due to some circunstances, our great beloved server is not running HC's administration script but mine's (BASS). Therefore, there will be few features (or not) that you may miss and some other ones that you may like aswell. The main thing that you will note is that BASS is completely command oriented and pretty much tries to avoid any type of menus and GUIs. However there's also lots of new, useful and cool things!
Unnecessary Goodies for the Kool Kids...
!setcolor, !setcolor2 and !setcolormode
With BASS, STAFF members have (almost) complete control of their chat color. You can pretty much personalize and make it yours. You have various modes for it, from fade, to random, to tag and text, etc. (You can also use the !colors command which will list you predefined colours. If you want to temporarily disable your chat color type !tag)
!mask, !tunemask
There's also hats, HATS! Everybody likes hats! You can choose them with the !mask command. You can also personalize them to your liking with !tunemask, it lets you choose their size, opacity and main color (it has some limits for you naughty ones)
Other stuff...
!pm
Unlike HC's script, to send a private message you'll need to use the !pm command (!pm <id> <message>). While it may sound less fortunate, it can get quite useful as you're not obligated to type an id. (You can just write !pm <message> and it will assume your target is the last guy that you sent or that sent you a private message)
!ban, !banip
Mods1 will be able to temporary ban with a maximum time of 7 minutes, gaining access to the full, permanent ban after reaching the Mod2 rank.
!cloak
You'll note that everytime a moderator, administrator, etc, uses a command on a player, there's an broadcast about it (for example, "_Yank used !mute on Flamer"). This can be quite useful to warn other players and to make things clearer with other present STAFF members however, it can also be quite harmful. As it warns the players and reveals your rank, it may (logically) alert other suspects making them hide theirselves or run away. With !cloak, you can disable this message and avoid problems like this.
!info
This command will query and display some information about the target player you use it on. It will report you is speedmod value, his USGN number (quite pointless as now you can see that on the scoreboard) and his IP address.
There's also plenty of new useful commands and many taken from HC and Kirby's administration script to provide us a complete server moderating arsenal.
So yeah, see you there!
